UNCORKED WINE TRAVELS

Musings Along The Wine Trails

Press Release

French Wine Scholar      July 2016

Congratulations Deborah Mines,
FWS for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with the highest honors with our program provider The Wine Smarties in San Diego, CA.

About Deborah:

”I am passionate about all things wine!  I write a wine blog, www.uncorkedwinetravels.com where I sip, savor and swirl my way around different wine regions, interview winemakers and promote great wineries.

Deborah Mines, FWSMy wine studies began in 2015 at San Diego State University, College of Extended Studies where I earned a Certificate in The Business of Wine. From there, I passed the WSET, Level 3 with Merit and advanced to the FWS program, earning the highest honors. From here, I wish to pursue my WSET Diploma, Level 4 and to teach industry professionals and other wine aficionados about the fabulous world of wine!  I feel that I have a solid understanding of French Wines through the Wine Scholar program, and look to continuing with my studies on a study excursion in 2017.

The French Wine Scholar program gave me a greater appreciation of French wines and the history of great winemaking.  I am hoping to join one of the French study excursions and to explore first-hand, the wines of France. ”
